Participation: 20%

Can I turn in work late?

Yes.  A late penalty of 10% will apply to the grade you receive.

What is the "Guest Book" for in my portfolio?

This is for any visitor to your portfolio who wants to read and comment on your writing.  It is also the place where your peers and I will type our evaluations of your work.

How many portfolio pieces are there?

There are fifteen required portfolio pieces for this class.  They are as follows:

#1: Found poem #9: Non-fiction: food
#2: Letter poem #10: Non-fiction: travel
#3: List poem #11: Non-fiction: school
#4: Sonnet/Villainelle #12: Revision: poem
#5: Short story: dialogue #13: Revision: story
#6: Short story: the criminal mind #14: Revision: collaborative
#7: Short story: near-history #15: Peer reviews
#8: Short story: in-class PP #'s 1-11 require draft, interview, and a 2nd draft.
